Tirnua - a new sims online alternative

Published by lolly under Everyday Life, News, survivor Edit This

Many of us are still saddened everyday about the loss of
our beloved TheSimsOnline game last year. As one of the original sims online founders it came as quite a blow that EA Games intended to kill my lovely sims characters I had played with for 6 to 7 years.

Well yesterday durig one of my periods of Sims Online mourning I was doing my usually google searches about sims online and fell upon Tirnua.

Tirnua is a free, browser-based simulation game world where you can edit your rooms, hang out with your friends, trade objects and play games.

The scenery in the game is isometric 2D but the characters are rendered with Papervision3D so the Tirnuans have unlimited number of animations.

Several of the original developers from sims online are there including two of my favorites Lee and Luc. I also see a lot of my former sims friends who I thought were all dead!

Stop by and check out Tirnua! My name is Lollygirl and I am ALIVE again!!! It feels so

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!

Tirnua is constantly in development with new features added every single week so come back regularly and check their progress.

Survivor Game

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

My Christmas was great!  I got Rock Band 2 along with the guitar for Wii so I have been playing that.  Anyone want to join my band?  I wish they come out with a Survivor video game.  I have one from Survivor Outback which was for the PC but that is long been outdated.  I have seen a Survivor slot machine at a local casino I go to.  They have games and even calendars for every other show but why not more Survivor stuff?  I think they could make a good on-line Survivor game where they could put 18 randomly selected people in the game and they would all have to go on-line to play in challenges and email or talk on-line back and forth for the social game.

Survivor vs Rock of Surreal Love Life

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

For the past four or five seasons I have said that celebreality is the hot trend as performers and celebs are more entertaining than just getting a whole cast off the street. Lesser known actors and actresses, models, athletes, and celebs.

Let’s face it people. For these people survivor will just be an “experience” for them and we will get the generic “I grew as a person, I proved something to myself by doing this, I didn’t think I was capable of this, I lasted (x) number of days and am proud of myself, etc”

Survivor meets surreal life.

What next?

Rock of love and flavor of love survivor? Final immunity challenge they have to dance with stars and america votes. Winner gets an extreme makeover for their home!

Survivor Past and Present

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

Brian isn’t losing sleep because Jeff Probst didn’t like his season or because there are fans that dislike him. He got his million and still has fans. Jerri didn’t care she was dislkied and made a career from being bad girl on survivor. Johnny Fairplay has the distinction of being in the most reality shows. He doesn’t stress Jeff nor any of us disliking him. If he was an nice guy on survivor and in real life right afterwards his 15 minutes of fame would have died out.

Some season had to be the least interesting. That one was it. The season doesn’t reflect on the winner. We have had winners that start to finish dominated, and we have had winners that didn’t win a single immunity challenge and skated to final win or were taken to finals so someone else didn’t go and get second place. There are boring super bowls too, but the winning team still is a super bowl winner and doesn’t care if they were best winner or not. They won.

Jeff’s opinion of which season sucked or which player was boring is his opinion. Same as our opinions. We all see the same thing but from a different view. Boring is not factual, instead it is opinion. Same with views on strategy. Skater or skillfully flying under radar and not being a threat?

Half full or half empty glass?

It’s all good stuff to debate. Nothing more.

Survivor Gabon - Afterthoughts

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

I didn’t like Sugar much at the beginning and for awhile, I wondered why the others didn’t try to blindside her because they knew she had the idol, and try to flush it out. But I’m glad she stayed when she helped Bob, and Matty, even though I’m glad Bob won. I think it would’ve been nice if she had won the $100,000, I think she played a good game. In previous shows, even if the jury didn’t like the player, they would respect their gameplay and vote for them anyway. I think the ones that voted for Susie were very petty, because Sugar did play the game well. She didn’t do a good job at the final tribal council, though. Voting for Susie was a wasted vote, she never should have been there (final 3). Oh well, it was a good season, and now one to Brazil!

Survivor Gabon - Fan Favorite Award

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

Fans get to reward a survivor with 100,000. Same amount you would get as runner up. Rupert got the first one (1 million dollars). Sprint has sponsored the fan favorite award the past two seasons. They award the 100,000 not CBS. So the winner of survivor could also win the fan favorite award. James has won the past two. Rupert and James carried their tribes through challenges and  kept them going at camp. Both were big men and couldn’t skate. Both were on survivor twice. Winners of both their seasons were their allies and rode them through the early team challenges and benefited from their hard work at camp. The person that outlasts everyone through any means (lies, manipulation, alliances, skating, strategic moves, bullying, blindsides, etc.) is awarded the million dollars from the jury. The person who fans appreciated the most is rewarded 100,000 from Sprint. Basically showing that if you work hard, play hard, and appeal to fans you will be rewarded. Only the winner will be better off financially.

Fan favorite is better than 2nd place (as it should be). 2nd place is 1st loser. You either win or you don’t. Patriots aren’t happy they got to superbowl last year and lost.

Any dark horse shots at the 100,000? Marcus? Ace? Maybe the video game world all jumped on the Kenny bandwagon and voted him (in between world of warcraft quests or guitar hero jams).

Who do you want to win Survivor?

Who do you want to win the Fan Favorite Award?

Survivor Gabon Finale Recap

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

Nobag ~ Bob, Susie, Sugar, Matty, and Kenny celebrated being in the Final Five.

Nobag ~ Sugar & Bob strategized whether to vote off Susie, Matty, or Kenny.

Tribal Council ~ Kenny become 14th person being ousted from Survivor: Gabon.

Nobag ~ Bob, Susie, Sugar, and Matty walked on the path where the torches of the fallen castaways with their names starting Michelle and ending Kenny.  They collected the masks from the torches and met the Gabonians and burned the masks up.

Immunity Challenge ~ building the similar to “house of cards”.  Each castaway had to build the square-shaped chips to be 10 feet high.  After several struggles, Susie finished hers highest first, so she won immunity!  She proudly wore a necklace for a 2nd time in the season.

Nobag ~ Bob was upset with Susie for chattering too much that she couldn’t believe that she won the final immunity.  Bob was disappointed as he knew he was vulunerable.  He and Sugar agreed to vote for Matty to make a tie.  Susie and Matty wanted to vote Bob out.

Tribal Council ~ Bob’s votes and Matty’s votes were 2-2.  So they had to do a tie-breaking challenge by building a fire to burn the rope up.  Bob started the fire, but it went out.  So he started it again and succeeded.  The fire was high while Matty was still struggling to start the fire.  The rope above the fire burned up and broke which sent Matty as 15th person ousted from Survivor: Gabon.  Jeff congrated Bob, Susie, and Sugar as Final Three.

Nobag ~ the happy campers cleaned the camp and burned the hut up.

Final Tribal Council ~ Susie, Bob, and Sugar pleaded their cases.  The jury questioning was tough especially Corrine that was the worst.  Sugar showed her finger to Corrine.  The Final Three pleaded their final words.  The voting took place.  Matty showed his Susie ballot.  Corrine showed her Bob Crowley ballot.  Jeff picked up the ballot urn and brought it to Hollywood studio.  The Final Three looked so great. Jeff revealed 3 ballots each for Bob and Susie.  He revealed the final ballot.  He said it was not Sugar.  He showed Bob ballot!  So Bob become 1 million winner of the Sole Survivor of Survivor: Gabon!

Reunion ~ everyone looked so good.  Sugar was so dolled up beautifully!  Jeff questioned each contestant.

Next Survivor ~ Tocantins!  It is located in Brazil. It will premiere on Thursday, February 12, 2009!

Survivor Gabon - Crystal’s High Heels

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

The general viewing public always has higher expectations in survivor challenges from ex-athletes and military persons. When they fail to shine some try to tarnish their past accomplishments. Without past success no one cares if you are mediocre or bad. It isn’t her fault she sucks as bad as Sugar, Corrine and Susie. We just expected more. Crystal was the pepe le pew of challenges.

The 4×400 sprint is not uphill while wearing a dress. Remember it was back in 2004 while she was in “competing shape”. Put on a dress and run uphill. Is it the same as running on a flat track, with spikes on, in spandex, while training hours daily, and 30 pounds lighter? Doesn’t say anything about her gold medal. Just says that 4 years later she is badly out of shape and has no endurance or stamina. Marcus did not help Crystal up the hill- Matty did. Marcus was on other tribe and was second up the hill after GC. Michelle was first woman up the hill and first booted. Susie, Crystal and Gillian had to have help up the hill and Gillian was last person Matty got up.

Survivor Gabon - Good vs Evil

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

Crystal and Kenny were in the “good camp” til last week. The season is like a old gangster movie where the cops bust a gambling ring then become as corrupt as the people they just busted. Kenny looked at himself as Ace/Marcus and Crystal became the mini me version of Corrine. Crystal made same mistake the other bullies did- she got comfortable in a position of power. Crystal and Kenny had to do nothing more than ride their alliance to the end, keep their mouths shut, and stay loyal. Kenny betrayed and crystal got in Matty’s face beating him down verbally (which she mentioned later was a huge mistake).

Sugar is doing her scoutmaster Lil impersonation. Lillian is the one that took sandra to finals knowing she would lose to her instead of johnny fairplay which would have been an easy win. She said she didn’t want fairplay getting second place so she tossed away a million dollars by playing with heart and not head.

Survivor Gabon episode 13 recap

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

Nobag ~ Matty was upset that his name was put down on the ballet.  Kenny confronted Bob about Corrine not playing a hidden immunity idol and accused him of lying to him.  Bob offered his immunity necklace to Kenny if he won immunity as he was a man of word.

Reward Challenge ~ throwing balls into the basket.  Bob went thru the nets to retrieve the balls and did not hurry like his competitors.  Bob calmly put the third ball into basket and won reward!  He chose Crystal and Kenny to go with him for a helicopter ride to Luanga Park, the home of Gorilla Foundation!  Susie was sent to Exile Island.

Nobag ~ Bob, Crystal, and Kenny felt elated by the helicopter lift to Gorilla place.  They drank & feasted.  Then they took showers and felt so clean!  They put on African attires.  Bob told them to take Matty out and would give his immunity necklace to Kenny.  Two men of Gorilla Sanctuary came to greet them.  Bob, Crystal, and Kenny took a tour looking at the gorillas that were in danger of extinction.

Exile Island ~ Susie took comfort instead of clue since Sugar had the idol.  Susie “changed” the name from Sugar Shack to Susie Shack.

Nobag ~ Matty & Sugar were disappointed that they didn’t have a chance to enjoy the reward.  He said he was gunning for Crystal and Kenny.  Sugar confides that she was not sure what to do.  Crystal and Kenny decided to go off on Matty for strategic reasons.  Sugar and Matty discussed about strategy.

Immunity Challenge ~ gathering the bags of mask pieces blindfolded through the obstacles.  Matty started first, but Bob started putting the face parts to the mask and got it right!  He won another immunity!

Nobag ~ Kenny insisted to Bob that he promised to give his immunity necklace to him.  Sugar coaxed Bob into giving his necklace to Kenny and promised not to vote him out.  Bob looked as he was struggling to make a right decision.  Some suggested to vote out Crystal. Sugar considered to give her hidden immunity idol to Matty, but she didn’t want to be blindsided.

Tribal Council ~ Jeff asked Bob if he would give up his necklace to Kenny.  Bob said he would keep it because Kenny was not going home.  Matty and Crystal’s ballots were written.  Sugar gave up her hidden immunity idol to Matty, so his votes were not counted.  Crystal become 13th person voted off from Survivor: Gabon.

Kudos to Bob!!  I was nervous waiting for Bob to make a stupid decision giving his necklace to Kenny as Erik of Micronesia did that got himself voted off.  I breathed a great relief that Bob didn’t give up his immunity!!  I wish Sugar didn’t have to give her idol to Matty since he was a bigger threat than Crystal!  I knew Bob was too smart to give up his immunity!!!  Go Bob!  I hope Bob will win as a sole Survivor!  He was a great game player.

Next Sunday ~ Season Finale!! Then it will be followed by the reunion! Then next Survivor and its new location will be revealed for the spring!
