Survivor Gabon episode 7 recap

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

Fang ~ the day after Tribal Council.  Rice supply was becoming
lower.  Crystal kicked it by accident and had to spare some
grains by putting the grains back to the box.  There was no
harmony in this tribe.

Kota ~ Dan pleaded with his new tribe that he wanted to stay
in the game and begged not to be voted off.

Reward Challenge ~ smashing the opponents’ balls.  Kota
won again.  Sugar was sent to Exile Island again!

Kota ~ they rode in the heliotopher over Africa.  They
had a picnic near the edge of the crate-like canyon.

Fang ~ Matty talked Ace into voting off Sugar.  Some
talked about voting off Crystal.

Kota ~ an African native in regular clothes delivered
a package to them.  Letters from home!  The happy
winners read letter with tears, especially Bob.

Exile Island ~ Sugar ate fruit again.  She said she
thought it might be a stupid thing to ally with Ace.

Immunity Challenge ~ rolling logs like Survivor: Amazon.
Jeff announced that both tribes would go to Tribal Council.
It was for an individual idol this time! After several rounds,
Marcus won!  Jeff gave him a necklace.  He chose Sugar
receive a necklace for Fang.

Fang ~ a snake lurked among the grass at Fang camp.
Kenny talked with Sugar about voting off Ace while the
snake crawled in front of the TV screen.  Sugar confided
that she didn’t trust Kenny.  Sugar and Ace discussed.
She confided she felt that Kenny was telling the truth.

Tribal Council ~ after Jeff’s questioning, Ace and Crystal
ballots were shown while the snake moved around.  Jeff
revealed three Ace ballots and two Crystal ballots.  Ace
was ousted as 7th person from Survivor: Gabon.

Kota ~ talking about voting off Susie.  Later, Dan and
Marcus talked.  Susie & Corrine talked.  More chatters followed.

Tribal Council ~ Jeff revealed more Dan’s ballots than
Susie’s ballots, so Dan became 8th person voted off
from Survivor: Gabon.

My Thoughts ~ I am so happpppy that Marcus gave the
immunity necklace to Sugar!  But Sugar should have
looked for another hidden immunity idol, so she could
be safe and stay in the game much longer.

Next Week ~ Randy claims that he is the king!  Corrine
skinny dips!  Kota & Fang members are seen together.
I can smell a merge!

Rooting for The Amazing Race

Published by lolly under Uncategorized Edit This

I’m having an easier time getting into The Amazing Race
this season versus Survivor and it’s normally the other way
around. I think they have chosen better couples this time.
The season before I had a hard time finding anyone to root
for. I didn’t like most last season which turned me off.

On last Sunday’s episode during the diesel pumping, the frat
boys just couldn’t figure out how to work the pump. Dan
eventually figured it out, but it took way too long. I was
certain they had failed to close a valve or something, but
it turned out that Andrew was just being too wimpy in
his pumping! I wanted to yell at Andrew for being so wimpy
with the pumping. Did you hear Dan yelling at him to go
faster at the beginning? If Dan had just taken over
quicker, they wouldn’t have lost so much time!

Survivor Gabon - Question of the Day?

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

Okay here we go again. The question of the
day.  Does Ace really have an accent? It is really
kind of hard to tell. It seems to me that his
accent is there one minute and then it’s gone
the next. And on another subject I think Sugar
is really playing dumb. I think she knows exactly
what she is doing. For example, she told Kenny
about giving Ace the idol, so therefore they wont
vote her out because she didn’t have it. They saw
the idol last week, so they’ll waste a vote on her,
potentially making it easier to get someone she
wants out. She is the only one who votes for a
person, uses the idol and they go home.I think
she is very similar to Courtney from China. She goes
right along playing dumb but really deep down has
so much hidden strategy. Either way she’s starting
to look like one of the big staregists this season.

Survivor Gabon - When is the MERGE?

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

I hate to say it, but it looks like Ace(arse)
will be around for a while. He is the kind of
snake that can work his way through the
game pretty far. As Sugar said the other night,
“he’s a snake, but he’s MY snake”! Well, you
can have him. At least Sugar was smart
getting the idol back from him before Tribal.
That’s why I thought there would be a blind-side
against Ace, but as always, you don’t get to
see all the strategy they discuss. While I
agree with Kelly going home, the Fang tribe is
just pityful. There should be merge soon, and
it can’t come quick enough for Fang. Lot of
people in Kota will be coming to the forefront
very soon since we have not gotten to deep
with personalitys because they win everything!
Anyway, I hope one of the challenges they
win laundry detergent…their clothes look bad!!!

Survivor and Ace Thoughts

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

And why that stupid tribe did not vote Ace
off is beyond me. That has to be the dumbest
bunch of people I’ve ever seen. They had
their chance last week to boot off Sugar,
blindside her, but did they? No! Yes, GC
was a pain and a whiner, but seems like
they could have put up with him for 3 more
days and broken up the Ace/Sugar alliance
when they had the chance. Do they take
stupid pills before they applied for Survivor?
It is just really hard to understand how these
contestants get along in their own daily lives.
Let’s see, living your life everyday like you
are on Survivor? This could be very interesting!

Survivor Gabon - I hate food rewards!

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

Wanna see how they feel? Go three days of
just eating three spoons of rice. Nothing else
except water. No juice, milk, coffee, donuts,
cigarettes, soda, or beef. Just rice and
water for three days and still go to work and
do regular chores. After two days of just
rice go play a 5 on 5 basketball game for
thirty minutes (reward challenge). See how
much energy you have the next day and
you know you only get some rice and water
to replenish. After day three go play basketball
again for 30 minutes (immunity challenge). How
do you feel on day four of just rice and water
for thee days and still having to work and
compete hard. You don’t mean to give up, fall
down or run out of energy or endurance but
you just do.

I hate food rewards. Kota has been on a picnic
while Fang has had to survive on rice.
Give blankets and supplies and when
individual immunity you can give food
and let winners choose others to share
food and stir the pot.

Survivor and Ace

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

After a second watch of this last week’s episode I
have decided for sure that I hate Ace. Before I just
didn’t like him.  Now I’m starting to hate him and his
smug high and mighty attitude.  But I fear they’ve
missed their chance to get rid of him.

Survivor Gabon and those pesky food challenges…

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

In all fairness to them it is an uphill battle with the
winners getting food and the losers starve. There
are too many food rewards to have balanced
challenges.  Take two football teams and have
one eat three spoonfuls of rice a day for a week
and the other eat spiced fish, fruit, pastries and
coffee. The starved team will physically run out
of endurance. Lack of protein is how cults control
their flocks. The brain and body does not function
well without proper nourishment. If both tribes
were fed or both starved the results would be
even. Notice how much athletes eat to be able
o compete. See what Michael Phelps eats daily
(enough for 8 people). Of course an olympic
sprinter would be out of endurance and strength
living on 3 spoons of rice per day and burning
alot more than that in competitions.

Survivor Gabon episode 6 recap

Published by lolly under survivor Edit This

Fang ~ back from Tribal Council. The campers
started the fire successfully. Next day, the tribe
mates were depressed due to not enough food.
Ace pleaded with Matty not to vote him off.
They made a pact that Ace not to vote Ken
off and Matty not to vote Sugar off. Ace
promised on his mother and Matty promised
on his girlfriend.

Kota ~ the campers complained about Dan
eating too much food and didn’t divide equal
portions of food in case food ran out.

Fang ~ they talked about meal plans. They
had to pinch on rice not to waste it. Sugar
offered her hidden immunity idol to Ace.
She gave it to Ace for safekeeping. Ace
delighted in watching an elephant swimming
near the camp.

Reward Challenge ~ a heavy giant snake carried
on each tribe’s shoulders. Kota won reward.
Sugar was sent to Exile Island again (and again!)

Kota ~ they complained about sharing food
equally. They ate giant strawberries and rolls.

Exile ~ Sugar was upset to be back to Exile.
She ate fruits again. She said she felt guilty
that she ate food while her tribe mates
were starving.

Fang ~ Ace complained about Crystal. Kelly
and Crystal got into an argument. Crystal
complained about not enough food.

Kota ~ they caught a giant sea turtle!
Unfortunately, it became their meal.

Immunity Challenge ~ an abstacle course that
looked like a giant spider web. Kota beat Fang,
so Kota won another immunity.

Fang ~ they were upset about recurring losses.
Matty talked with Crystal about Ace. The hippos
were spying on them. Crystal and Ken wanted
Kelly out. Sugar admitted that she gave her
idol to Ace while she talked with Ken!

Tribal Council ~ Kelly and Crystal were bickering
at each other. Ace showed his Kelly ballot. Jeff
revealed several Kelly ballots and one Crystal
ballot. Kelly’s torch was snuffed as 6th person
from Survivor: Gabon.

Next Week ~ both tribes are going to vote
somebody out. A lot of the discussions are on
voting omebody out. Looks like there will be a
double Tribal Council.

Last Sunday’s Episode of Skins

Published by lolly under News Edit This

Last Sunday’s episode of Skins was another good one
and it was well written……all of it but the play. I just
didn’t understand that. Osama The Musical? I don’t
get it. I just don’t think they should have went there.
It just seemed like they were making fun of 9/11.
Did anyone else take it that away? Or maybe I just
don’t get British humor. Either way I just didn’t care
for that but everything else was awesome. What a
crazy b***ch that girl was! WOW! Stalker!! The whole
thing reminded me of Alanis Morissette’s song where
she says, “I went to your house….went up the
stairs……put on your shirt…..cologne…..got on
your bed….etc.” when Sketch broke into Maxxie’s
apartment. That should have been playing while
that scene was happening. Surely they have Alanis
over there!
